Sea Creations Names Director of Sales

LaserGifts Appoints VP of Sales

aserGifts, a manufacturer of laser engraved gifts and souvenirs in Prescott, Ariz., is pleased to announce the appointment of Kip Zsupnik as vice president of sales. “We are excited to have Kip join the LaserGifts team,” said Dave Mudrick, president of LaserGifts. “He has a comprehensive background in the personalized name program business and will be a major asset to our company. His former positions include director of product development for Stravina Souvenir and Gift Division and a former owner of Artistic Impressions. Kip will play a major role in sales management and product development for LaserGifts.”

Obituary: Meier Goldberg Passes Away

eier Goldberg passed away April 30,2005, in Denver. Rabbi Daniel Cohen officiated at the May 4 service at Feldman Mortuary.

Granddaughter Alexandra Katz read the eulogy and grandsons Jordan and Benjamin, along with family friends Louis Zerobrick, Dan Sloan, Jeff Sigman and Michael Joshua, were the pallbearers.

Meier, a Denver native, was born May 5, 1934. He attended Cheltenham School, Lake Junior High and was a graduate of the University of Colorado.

Associated with the family business, Meier and Frank Mdse. Co., for 50 years, Mr. Goldberg was honored with the Distinguished Member Award from the Associated Surplus Dealers in 1997 and the Golden Lily Award in 2000. He improved the souvenir, gift and novelty industry with his knowledge and standards, along with his pleasant smile and good humor. He had a great interest in the way business was done with modern technology, especially with using his computer.

He was a member of BHM-BJ Columbine Lodge and El Jebel.

Mr. Goldberg married wife Phyllis Feb. 8, 1961 in Denver. He actively attended many tradeshows with her and will be sorely missed in the industry.

He is predeceased by sister Mildred Verosloff. He is survived by wife Phyllis Goldberg of Denver, children Murray Goldberg of Lakewood and Pamela Katz of Las Vegas; brother Sheldon of Denver; and grandchildren Alexandra, Jordan and Benjamin.
