Naythons Creates a Retail Space at the Historic Greenbrier Hotel and Resort
he Spa at the Greenbrier Hotel and Resort
was under-performing, with revenues down
and the retail sector in need of help.
Naythons was hired to correct the situation, and after
a visual merchandising team from the company visited,
the spa was transformed
into a new,
dynamic retail space.
The visual merchandising
team was
not only well-received,
but also was given full
access to carpenters,
electricians and a host
of other resources and
assets. The Greenbrier
is among the most historical
hotels in the
country, counting
among its guests Robert
E. Lee, Winston Churchill, Roosevelt and many
others.
Gift for Life Announces 2007 Honorees
ift for Life, the gift, stationery and home
décor industries’ leading charitable organization,
recently announced the honorees
for its annual fundraising gala.
Peer Baekgaard of Baekgaard Ltd. will be honored
with the Chuck Yancy Lifetime
Acheivement Award. Rick Ruffner of Avanti
Press and Jeff Sampson of the L.A. Mart will be
honored with the Bert Tonkin Gift of Giving
Award.
“These special honorees combine significant
business success with a passionate mission to help
others,” said Tabitha Bowling, chair of the Gift for
Life board, in a press release from the group. “We
recognize their tireless energy and their spirit of
generosity.”
The 15th Annual Gift for Life Gala, one of the
industry’s most prestigious and fun-filled events,
will be held on Sunday, January 28, from 6 p.m. to
10 p.m. at Strata, 915 Broadway at 21st Street,
New York. Festivities will include dinner, cocktails,
entertainment, silent and live auctions for
outstanding products, airline tickets, vacation getaways
and more.
Drummers/Ivystone Group Merges with Dave Mazzeo & Associates
rummers/Ivystone Group, the leading
professional sales organization in
the Mid-Atlantic and New York
region and Dave Mazzeo & Associates, the top
industry sales agency in Upstate New York,
have announced the merging of the companies
as of Jan. 1, 2007, according to a press
release.
“We’ve had a long-term friendship with
Dave Mazzeo,” said Doug Cofiell, Principal of
Drummers/Ivystone Group, in the release.
“This merge brings benefits to both, and an
opportunity to solidify our overlapping market
areas.”
Mazzeo’s sales associates will be integrated
into Brandwise, the road electronic ordering
system used by Drummers/Ivystone Group.
“Everyone will benefit from this change in
operations and technology,” Mazzeo said in the
release. “Our retailers, venders, and sales associates
will all see increased efficiencies as this
merge takes place.”
Drummers/Ivystone will also integrate its
strong key accounts program into the region.
Mazzeo, who brings more than 30 years of
expertise to the organization, will remain closely
involved in the company, especially in the
sales management of his representatives.
