M&M Gift Shows
Here is a progress report from The International Gift
Exposition in the
Smokies®, which is
scheduled for November
8 -13 at the Sevierville
Events Center in
Sevierville, Tenn. The
show was formerly the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge Gift
Show.
Mark your calendars for Thursday, November 8th .
The show starts one day earlier this year. Construction
of the new Sevierville Events Center is ahead of schedule.
The adjacent hotel will be under construction at
the time of the show but show management has
explored other Sevierville lodging facilities and attendees
will love what they have found, according to a
press release from the show management.
Hotels, condominium rentals and cabins (log
homes) are plentiful, beautiful, spacious and affordable.
Many are conveniently located close to shopping,
restaurants and shuttles. Cabins are luxurious and
offer a refreshing escape from hectic everyday living.
Contact show management for complete lodging
information. (See related story on page 54).
Fair.
Here is what one of the show’s long-time vendors
has to say:
“We have participated in the M & M Gift Show in
the Smokies since its beginning and have seen the circle
of buyers and exhibitors grow wider and farther,
changing…to a more diverse and more sophisticated
show. I think the International Gift Exposition in the
Smokies has the real potential of becoming just that,
especially with the new convention center putting
everyone under one roof. This new location is more
accessible to the airport in Knoxville and to I-40 and
I-75. The show is timed perfectly for a brief break
before the busy holiday season, the weather is usually
beautiful with colorful leaves still on the trees, and
there are a myriad of shows and good restaurants in
the area to choose from. The costs to do the show
are far less than the big city shows and the returns
are equal or better. It is a good opportunity to find
emerging products before everyone has them. The
International Gift Show in the Smokies can only get
better in the new location under one roof in
Sevierville. I can think of no other gift show that
will be as easily accessed for both suppliers and their
customers.”
If your business caters to the resort, souvenir,
waterpark, amusement, concessions, home décor,
specialty retail, leisure, sports or travel markets, the
Smoky Mountains is the place to be every
November, according to the press release.
Buyers will be pampered with: All exhibits under
one roof in a new, conveniently-located convention
facility; Free Shuttle Service, by appointment, from
and to the Knoxville airport; Plentiful and affordable
Sevierville lodging choices; Free Gift Show
Shuttles between the Sevierville Events Center and
Gatlinburg; Free Gift Show Shuttles to official gift
show lodging facilities, in Sevierville, during select
morning and afternoon periods; Free parking; A
Buyer’s Lounge; and buyer cash drawings.
To register for the show online, to inquire about
booth space availability or lodging, to reserve meeting
space or to obtain further information, contact
