Surfer Baby Participates in Extreme Makeover Home Edition

urfer Baby, of San Diego, was invited to participate in an episode of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” that was to air December 10. Surfer Baby provided its signature surf-inspired baby and kids gear to a Southern California household that was to be renovated by the show’s team of designers and craftsmen.

Surfer Baby has offered surfinspired apparel, feeding supplies, blankets, pillows, travel accessories, home furnishings and more to babies and children since 2002. Owner Alan Chalom, has taken his love of surf and channeled it into his love of his new family, creating the company’s signature surfboard shaped bibs and burp cloths and other unique items.

“Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” has won back-to-back Emmy Awards as Best Reality Program (non-competitive.) Surfer Baby was proud to be a part of the makeover process, with Chalom pitching in to do construction and set-up work beyond his product donation.

“After dropping off the Surfer Baby gear, we grabbed hard hats and pitched in where ever we could. I got so caught up in the excitement of this great project, the next thing I knew we had worked through the whole night,” Chalom said in a press release.

After the air date, video clips from the series and product information can be viewed on the television show’s Web site.?
