or March 2007, the Atlanta Spring Gift, Home Furnishings & Holiday Market® takes on a new look and feel with five distinctive product collections newly presented in tandem with the Atlanta International Fine Linen & Home Textiles Market’s launch.

Adding to the strength of the permanent collections are expanded product collections in the Temporaries with these featured categories: Home Accents, Home Furnishings & Garden; General Gifts; Jewelry & Fashion Accessories; and Cash & Carry Jewelry — all providing strong synergy with the holiday/floral collections.

Extensive international resources on and off the show floor – including exhibitor pavilions from around the world, a World Style charity auction and an importing and sourcing conference – will set the stage for a comprehensive global marketplace at the California Gift Show®. Running Friday, January 19, through Monday, January 22, 2007, at the Los Angeles Convention Center, the show will include resources from all over the world.

The semi-annual California Gift Show is managed by George Little Management, LLC (GLM®), on behalf of dmg world media. The Show will feature more than 5,000 product lines and attract 24,000 attendees. Some 1,400 exhibitors will participate throughout 12 divisions, according to a press release.

“The California Gift Show has a reputation for bringing together a unique assortment of international products, artistic craftsmanship and one-of-akind designs. The collections and resources offered reflect gift and handicraft trends on a global scale,” said Aubin Wilson, show director, in the release.

Each day of the show, free shuttle service will be available between select hotels, the Los Angeles Convention Center and the L.A. Mart.

For five days in February, some 20,000 attendees will gather for the San Francisco International Gift Fair®, featuring 17 well-defined product neighborhoods within one comprehensive gift market, one easy-to-shop environment and all under one roof. The winter edition of the fair will attract a broad range of nationally recognized retailers and independent regional buyers to San Francisco’s Moscone Center – a state-of-the-art venue in one of the world’s top destination cities, according to a press release from GLM.

Promising a diversity of new gift, home and lifestyle offerings, the 28th semi-annual edition of the San Francisco International Gift Fair will run February 17-20, 2007, in cooperation with the permanent showrooms of the Giftcenter and Jewelrymart. Market highlights include an enhanced line-up of trend-driven educational sessions, a “Mardi Gras” opening night celebration and a variety of product displays showcasing the unique introductions of the Fair’s many niche markets.

“The San Francisco International Gift Fair delivers the power of one – one opportunity to see the offerings of a broad range of unique, trend-setting suppliers and designers, one timely educational forum featuring leading industry experts and one phenomenal city. With resources to meet the needs of the gift, home and lifestyle industries, the Fair continues to attract important retailers from the West Coast and across the nation,” said Mike Dean, president, Western Exhibitors, Inc., in the release.

Conveniently located in a new, state-of-the-art convention center in the heart of the nation’s capital, the winter edition of the Washington Gift Show® will boast a brand new Cash & Carry division, scores of new companies and a diversity of high-end offerings specifically suited to the needs of Mid-Atlantic retailers, according to a press release from GLM. A wealth of unique regional products in a timeframe well suited to area retailers will set the show apart.

Running February 25-28, 2007, at the Washington Convention Center — steps from historic museums, great restaurants and important attractions — the 115th semi-annual show will feature some 130 exhibitors in six easy-to-shop divisions. Additional market highlights will include a special new “Hospital Gift Shop Buying Day” and a “Museum Store Buying Day,” an Opening Morning Breakfast and an “On The Town” evening dinner event.

As the Mid-Atlantic region’s premier event for the gift industry, the Washington Gift Show features a wide variety of giftware and related products in six product divisions.

Some 3,000 retailers are expected to attend the semi-annual event.

For five days this winter, New York City will be the gift and home industry’s most exciting destination, with a series of energy-enhancing physical changes – including repositioning of three divisions, the introduction of a new exhibit space at the Piers and uniform opening and closing dates for all divisions – during the 152nd semi-annual New York International Gift Fair® (NYIGF™), Sunday, January 28, through Thursday, February 1, 2007, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and Passenger Ship Terminal Piers 92 and 94. In addition to these Gift Fair offerings, New York City also will host two synergistic markets – EX·TRACTS® and the New York Home Textiles Show® – and two special events for the gift, home and housewares industries during the winter 2007 New York Gift and Home Market Week.

Dorothy Belshaw, Show Director and GLM senior vice president, said in a press release: “These changes will result in a more efficient and rewarding market experience for buyers and suppliers this winter, while also demonstrating the Fair’s depth in several product categories.” The Gift Fair presents a total of 2,600 exhibitors in nine divisions and is expected to attract some 43,000 attendees.

Beyond exhibits, New York City will host, and GLM will sponsor, two industry events – Gift For Life’s 15th Anniversary Gala and HomeWorld Business’ 4th Annual Housewares Design Awards – in New York City during Market Week. And there will be a full slate of educational programs, special events and inspiring displays for NYIGF participants.

GLM has announced that New York’s Newest “the” launching pad for companies new to the New York International Gift Fair® will be held alongside EX·TRACTS®: New discoveries in beauty and wellness and the New York Home Textiles Show® at the Metropolitan Pavilion, January 28-31, 2007, as part of New York’s winter 2007 Gift & Home Market Week.

Together, the three events will present nearly 200 exhibitors in 22,000 net square feet of exhibit space at the Metropolitan Pavilion and adjoining Altman Building, which are located at 125 West 18th Street (between 6th and 7th Avenues.)

The latest art and design solutions, from paper to textiles, floor covering to packaging, art publishing to tabletop, will be presented at the next edition of Surtex®, according to a press release from GLM. The show has been lauded as one of the fastest-growing trade shows in North America, and the 2007 show will launch a “New Talent” area for showcasing international student design and feature an in-depth conference program and trend display. The show will also feature 400 exhibitors presenting original artwork to 6,000 attendees, May 20-22, 2007, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
