President George W.
Bush recently recognized
DeMasi with The
President’s Volunteer
Service Award.

ony DeMasi, the editor of Souvenirs, Gifts &
Novelties magazine, is this year’s recipient of
The President’s Volunteer Service Award.
President George W. Bush presented the award in
cooperation with the Corporation for National
Community Service and the USA Freedom Corp.
The president acknowledged DeMasi for giving
at least 4,000 hours of volunteer time over
the last two years and for “demonstrating the outstanding
character of Americans and helping
strengthening our country.”
“This award recognizes your
dedication to volunteer service
and signifies that you have
served your community and
your country with distinction.
Throughout your volunteer
efforts, you demonstrated values
that make our nation strong
and you helped to build a culture
of citizenship, service, and
responsibility in America,” said
Jean Case, the chairperson of
the Corporation for National
and Community Service, of
DeMasi.
DeMasi is actively involved
with The Points of Light Foundation.
The Points of Light
Foundation & Volunteer Center
National Network engages and
mobilizes volunteers who are
helping to solve serious social
problems in thousands of communities.
Through a variety of
programs and services, the foundation
encourages people to volunteer.
Targeted by the organization
are businesses, nonprofits,
faith-based organizations, low-income
communities, families,
youth, and older adults.
DeMasi is actively involved
