his year marks Souvenirs, Gifts & Novelties’ 45th year of serving the industry. We look forward to many more years of working as the industry’s most trusted publication, a role we don’t take lightly.

Our cover story this issue takes readers inside shops at botanical gardens with a focus on jewelry for sale at these unique stores. And the Zoo and Aquarium Buyers Association Group (ZAG) section offers a look at plush, the power of children’s merchandise preferences and educational souvenirs. In a piece on state parks, we examine wildlife merchandise. And rounding out our Back to Nature coverage is a special section devoted to botanicals.

Resort shops serve a specialized market of travelers, and we offer a story on how these stores merchandise apparel. Another important niche is art-inspired gifts for sale at museum stores, and we look at the sale of this merchandise at unique shops all over the country.
