Souvenirs, Gifts & Novelties Celebrates 45 Years of Service to the Industry
ouvenirs, Gifts & Novelties magazine has
been an industry leader for 45 years. Retailers
rely on the publication for timely advice and
tips on how to best serve their customers. The publication
also provides to its loyal readership the latest
news from the trade shows, the results of studies
and surveys of interest to the industry, and new
product releases.
The magazine also features special sections
covering specific segments of the business.
Among these sections is a Zoo and Aquarium
Buyers Association Group (ZAG) feature in every
issue. Below we present the comments of the
association’s president, Steve Fairchild, who
extends his best wishes to the publication on its
anniversary.
“Over the years, members
of the Zoo and Aquarium
Buyers Group have been contacted
by Souvenirs Gifts and
Novelties for interviews; merchandise
trends, and industry
insight. Articles that have
been published by SG&N
have proven to be very helpful
to gift buyers in the unique
zoo and aquarium industry. In
the August/September 2006
issue, the magazine for the
first time offered a feature section
devoted solely to topical
information provided by members
of The Zoo and
Aquarium Buyers Group.
Since the ZAG Section was
introduced, ZAG has witnessed
a phenomenal increase
in the number of buyer and
vendor inquiries about our
organization The ZAG Board
of Directors has concluded
that the ZAG section in
SG&N has been one of the
prominent factors in the
increased interest in our
buyer’s group. We are very
grateful to SG&N for their
unsolicited support of ZAG
and the volumes of useful
material that the magazine
provides for our 403 buyers
and sponsors. Happy 45th,
and many more to come.”
