George Little Management, LLC
George Little Management, LLC (GLM®) has
announced that the Winter 2008 edition of the
New York International Gift Fair® (NYIGF®)
will run Friday, February 1, through Wednesday,
February 6, 2008, at New York City's Jacob K.
Javits Convention Center, Metropolitan Pavilion
and Passenger Ship Terminal Piers 92 and 94.
According to GLM, this one-time shift - to a Friday-
Wednesday from its traditional Saturday-Thursday
date pattern - was necessitated by venue availability
in New York City.
A fresh market experience is on tap for attendees
of the spring 2008 edition of the Boston Gift
Show®, as a new division and complementary
neighborhoods are introduced to some 7,000 market
attendees. Taking place April 5-8, 2008, at the
Boston Convention and Exhibition Center
(BCEC), this 160th semi-annual edition will draw
attention to the regionally-made products and souvenir
resources that make this market uniquely
New England, while offering a more streamlined
shopping experience designed to enhance crossmerchandising
opportunities, according to a press
release from GLM. In addition, the return of key
exhibitors, seminars for independent retailers and
the Pride of New England Awards will further
cement this market as a valuable destination for
New England gift retailers.
“The Boston Gift Show presents a unique market
experience, providing independent retailers
from New England with an opportunity to source
the latest souvenir and New England-made gifts,”
said Tony Orlando, show manager, in the press
release. “Beginning in April 2008, we will draw on
this strength by re-merchandising the show to spotlight
the products and resources that make this
market stand out from the rest.”
