Midwest President Appointed to National Candle Association Board of Directors

he National Candle Association (NCA) has appointed Frederic Contino to its board of directors. Contino is president of Midwest, and he joins the 16-person NCA board as the membership chair.

“Rick brings a fresh dimension to the NCA board, lending his leadership, expertise and vision for the future,” said NCA Executive Vice President Valerie Cooper in a press release. “The NCA, industry and retailers stand to benefit from his strategic perspective and commitment to innovation.”

Tom Manley Joins Americana Souvenirs & Gifts

ettysburg, Pa.-based Americana Souvenirs & Gifts, known for a line of American history and museum products, has announced the appointment of Thomas Manley to the position of national sales representative. Manley brings over 12 years of experience in the museum retail and tourism industry.

“As Americana continues to grow, Tom complements our commitment to serving our customers’ best interests through his experience, leadership and creativity,” said Jon Shultz, the company’s general manager, in a press release. “His enthusiasm for the industry is contagious and will help Americana in its mission to serve our customers better.”

Ideaman, Inc. Names New Sales and Marketing Management Team Hire

deaman, Inc., creators of the American Expedition line of wildlife gifts, has announced the addition of Marty Tieferbrunn to the company’s sales and marketing management team. Tieferbrunn has 26 years of experience in headwear and apparel sales. He formerly served as director of the Licensed Product division for Paramount Apparel International.
