AmericasMart

The Ohio Wholesale, Inc. and Kennedy’s Country Collection Atlanta showrooms are entirely new and professionally re-designed but will remain on the 6th Floor of the Gift Mart next door to the old showrooms. The spaces offer an exciting new energy for both companies and can be found in 603B and 605 of Building 2, AmericasMart.

Denver Merchandise Mart

The Denver Merchandise Mart will hold its Gift, Home, Jewelry and Resort Show August 19-24 for permanent showrooms and August 21-23 for temporary exhibitors.  Information about the show is available online.

The show is held in conjunction with the Denver Apparel & Accessory Market, August 20-23.  This unique opportunity will offer buyers a wider variety of merchandise categories with approximately 100 ladies and children’s apparel and accessory showrooms open representing 1,000 lines.

The Denver Gift, Home, Jewelry and Resort Show, with over 400 exhibitors representing more than 4,000 lines, is the number one destination in the country for lodge, rustic, western and Native American products.

Oasis Gift Show

The OASIS Gift Show recently concluded its first annual OASIS Albuquerque Gift Show. The event was sold out with an extensive waiting list. This wholesale gift show was held at the Albuquerque Convention Center, located in beautiful downtown Albuquerque, on April 16-17, 2010.

OASIS decided to expand their current show calendar and go on the road for a new show. In an effort to increase market reach and keep costs down for buyers, OASIS decided to “bring the show to the buyers” and provide yet another great opportunity to expand product mix and maximize revenue potential.

After 33 years of quality shows in the Phoenix area, management wanted to offer success, opportunity, and convenience to buyers by featuring an expansive product selection and one-of-a-kind handmade gifts. OASIS exhibitors offer trend-setting general merchandise, world imports, home décor, jewelry, Native American art and crafts, western flair and southwestern gifts. The show is dedicated to providing a profitable wholesale gift marketplace at home and away.

Urban Expositions

Perfectly timed to help retailers restock after the busy holiday and tourist seasons, the Summer Orlando Gift Show has firmly established itself as Florida’s market center. Returning July 24-27, 2010 to the Orange County Convention Center’s West Concourse (Hall B2-B3), the semi-annual Orlando Gift Show offers Florida retailers a one-stop, all-category shopping event featuring hundreds of exhibiting companies, fantastic buyer incentives and free educational programs. The event also runs concurrently with the Orlando Cash & Carry Show, providing one comprehensive product resource with tremendous cross marketing buying opportunities.

Already the largest regional gift show in the nation, the July 19-22, 2010 Philadelphia Gift Show at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, Pa., will expand to feature even more new resources, including new candy, gourmet, specialty food and confection lines, as well as Treasures To Go, a new “show within a show” featuring a wide array of jewelry and fashion accessories available for immediate delivery to the trade.

These new additions, together with the show’s tremendous selection, convenient location, inexpensive hotels, free parking and easy access provide retailers from throughout the Mid- Atlantic and Tri-State regions with a cost-effective, convenient way to restock best-sellers and gear up for the crucial third and fourth quarter selling seasons.

Western region retailers might be surprised to find out that the San Francisco International Gift Fair is now California’s largest gift show.  As the style-setting marketplace where the hottest design trends and movements start and evolve, the show returns July 31 – August 3, 2010 to the Moscone Center for its summer edition with more than 1,000 booths filled with new resources and cutting-edge designs, as well as a full roster of buyer services that promise to help retailers restock their shelves and gear up for the fall and winter holidays.

“Our team is working hard to expand the SFIGF offerings and the results are paying off as top-name manufacturers return to the show, along with more and more innovative newcomers. As a result, the summer show will be the largest edition in recent years,” said Doug Miller, president, Urban Expositions. “And, we’re buying down hotel rates for buyers, as well as offering a full roster of other services and amenities to bring them a truly comprehensive, cost-effective buying experience that we hope will be a pleasant surprise for retailers.”

As the second edition under new management team Urban Expositions, the Seattle Gift Show’s August 21-24, 2010 edition at the Washington State Convention Center comes together with the permanent showrooms at the Pacific Market Center for Seattle Market Week, August 18-24, 2010. These two world-class, easy-to-shop venues will bring together a tremendous product selection of cutting edge designs in virtually every category, including top name companies and innovative newcomers, as well as breaking trends and bountiful buyer services.

Building upon the successful 2009 debut at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center, the Fort Lauderdale Gift Show returns August 28-31, 2010 to once again offer South Florida and Caribbean retailers an all-category gift show in a convenient and cost-effective setting.

“As South Florida’s premier showplace, the Fort Lauderdale Gift Show is custom-tailored to meet the buying needs of the region’s retailers. Perfectly timed before their busy season, South Florida and Caribbean retailers can explore a tremendous selection of giftware, resort merchandise and fashion accessories in a state-of-the-art facility, which is also surrounded by a world-class airport, wonderful restaurants and amenities,” Miller said.

Featuring more than 500 booths, the Fort Lauderdale Gift Show will showcase products in virtually every category.

Western Toy & Hobby Show

Next year’s 50th annual Western States Toy & Hobby Show will be held in Long Beach, Calif., March 19- 22, 2011. The show was first held in the new venue in 2010. The 2010 sold-out edition featured 82 exhibitors, 39 of which were new, and 422 booths, at the 76,000-square-foot Long Beach Convention Center.

For every order placed at the show, a buyer’s name is entered into the drawing for thousands of dollars worth of product donated by WTHRA’s manufacturers. The 2010 winner was Becky Pfeil, owner of Timeless Toys in Homer, Alaska.

Buyer response to the new venue was positive, as was reaction to the wide selection of hotels, restaurants and entertainment venues close to the convention center. WTHRA appreciates everyone’s support in making the show a success. The association worked hard to bring the event to this new and exciting location.
