NARB Announces Tracy Barlow Scholarship Fund
Memorial Scholarship Fund Named in Honor of Souvenir Industry Veteran
he National Association of Retail Buyers (NARB) has announced the establishment of a new college scholarship fund in honor of souvenir industry veteran Tracy Barlow. Designed to encourage interest in retailing as a career, the National Association of Retail Buyers Tracy Barlow Memorial Scholarship Fund will benefit undergraduates from around the country.
Through the fund, scholarships will be awarded to students who meet key criteria, including demonstration of a strong interest in e-commerce or online retailing as exhibited through coursework and/or work experience; high academic performance; community/campus leadership and other guidelines.
The memorial fund is named for Tracy Barlow who passed away unexpectedly on October 12, 2010. Serving the souvenir industry for more than 18 years, Barlow was widely regarded for her passion and love of the business, as well as her visionary product development skills. Barlow was a buyer for HMSHost, and her successful career also included buying positions with Princess Cruises and WH Smith.
