Miniland Educational Corp. Announces New National Sales Manager
Miniland Educational Corp., a leader in the European educational toy industry, has announced that Susan R. Young has been hired as the National Sales Manager.
Young, who has a master’s degree in education, will create business in the educational and toy markets for the company. Previously, she worked as director of sales and marketing for Atlas Pen & Pencil Corp., where she developed the company's educational Dealer Division.
Susan January of Leanin’ Tree Is Named Greeting Card Association President
Susan January, vice president of Leanin’ Tree, Inc., was named president of the Greeting Card Association (GCA) at the organization’s 70th Annual Convention in Horseshoe Bay, Texas.
January previously served as vice president of the association during GCA President Doug Faust’s two-year term. During her tenure, January, who is the organization’s third woman president in 70 years, will lead the association’s executive committee and board of directors.

GLM Holdings, created by Providence Equity Partners as part of its acquisition of George Little Management (GLM), recently announced that Charles G. McCurdy, CEO of GLM Holdings, will also take on the CEO role for GLM at the operating company level. At the same time, GLM Holdings announced that Doug Smith, formerly CFO of Education Dynamics, will become GLM’s chief financial officer and chief administrative officer at both the holding company and operating company levels.
Alan E. Steel, president of GLM, Jeff Little and Senior Vice President Jack Withiam will be leaving the firm after advising McCurdy and Smith during a transitional period.
Cloud B Co-Founder Linda Suh Named CEO
Cloud B, an award-winning company known worldwide for its unique line of products that help children sleep, recently appointed Linda Suh, the company’s co-founder and co-chairman of the Board of Directors, as president and CEO.
Prior to Suh’s new appointment, she was the managing director of the company’s office in Shanghai, China. She brings more than 12 years of knowledge and experience in product development and manufacturing to the job.
