Selling More of the Right Kind of Merchandise

All types of destination, general gift, theme, attraction, country, handicraft and other retail outlets are poised to take advantage of shoppers’ pent up wish to splurge a little. And it does not seem like splurging at all when the merchandise mix includes practical, fun and affordable apparel. In this issue, we examine apparel trends and sales at all types of shops, including sea and beach-themed stores, nautical museums, resort gift stores, T-shirt shops and minor league baseball fan stores.

Jewelry is another sure-selling merchandise category, and each issue we bring you insightful stories on how to do well with this the most portable souvenir.
