Greeting Card Association Announces Appointments

Katy Greenspan

Katy Greenspan of the San Francisco-based Minted and Glen Biely, co-president of the Seattle-based The Madison Park Group, were recently elected to the Board of Directors of the Greeting Card Association (GCA).

“I’m honored to be joining the board of the GCA,” said Greenspan. “I firmly believe in the successful future of our industry and am excited to be working to promote it alongside my fellow board members.”

“I’m excited and honored to join the GCA Board,” said Biely. “I’ve long admired and appreciated the terrific job that the GCA does of representing the industry as a whole. All my interactions with everyone involved in the GCA have been extremely positive, and I look forward to working with a great group of people.” Greenspan is the director, artist community at Minted, which is a community of independent designers and an e-commerce store that sells these artists' work as fine stationery, art and party décor.

Glen Biely

Biely became co-president of The Madison Park Group in 2000, having previously served as vice president of sales and marketing and, before that, as its national sales manager. Others on the GCA’s board for 2013-14 include President Steve Doyal of Hallmark Cards, Inc.; Vice President Carlos Llansó of Legacy Publishing Group, Inc.; Treasurer Christy Kaprosy of American Greetings Corporation; and Immediate Past President Susan January of Leanin' Tree.

Founded in 1941, The Greeting Card Association is headquartered in Washington, D.C.
